Overview

Cross the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) to the earthen ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and film set for many productions. Continue to Ouarzazate, the 'gate of the desert', before returning to Marrakech.

   Early morning

   Tizi n'Tichka pass

   Pick-up in Marrakech and climb through Berber villages and hairpin bends to the highest road pass in the High Atlas.

2. 2
   Late morning

   Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO)

   Cross the river and climb through the earthen kasbahs of the ksar to the granary at the top for the view.

   Afternoon

   Ouarzazate

   Lunch, then the Taourirt kasbah and optional visit to the film studios.

4. 4
   Evening

   Return to Marrakech

   Return via the pass and drop-off at your accommodation.
